On the sidelines of CCSET 2023 conference , EIAS Lab in PSU, Saudia Arabia will provide Hands-on Training with the aim of helping the students and researchers as well as practitioners who would like to learn or to progress their career in cybersecurity and critical infrastructures based on data science and AI.
Hands-on Training Courses as follows:

Session 1: 9: 00 – 10:00

Title: Emerging Security Solutions for Internet of Things Networks

Abdelhamied A. Ateya, Researcher at EIAS Lab, PSU
He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Zagazig University, Egypt, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. In 2019, he received the Ph.D. from Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Russia. He is currently an Assistant professor at the Electronics and Communications engineering department, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University, and a researcher at EIAS Data Science Lab, College of Computer and Information Sciences, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has co-authored more than 60 publications in high-ranked journals. He is a member of many scientific communities. Dr. Abdelhamied is an IEEE Senior Member and an ACM prof. Member. He has been an active member of several international journals and conferences, with a contribution as an author, a reviewer, an editor, or a member of program committees. His current research interests include machine learning applications in communication networks, 5G/6G communications, Internet of things, Tactile Internet and its standardization, and Vehicular communications.

Title : Advancements in core network intelligence and planning for new radio technology

Abdukodir A. Khakimov, RUDN University, Russia.

Abdukodir Khakimov received a PhD degree from St. Petersburg University of Telecommunications in 2022. He is a graduate student at this university. Since 2019 he has been working as a junior researcher at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications at the RUDN University. He is engaged in research on access and core technologies for 5G and 5G + networks. In particular, the integration of MEC technology into distributed computing networks.

 Dr. Sadique Ahmad, Post-Doc Researcher at EIAS Lab, PSU

Title: Multi-D object detection for Next- Gen Autonomous vehicles

He is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Sciences Bahria University Karachi Campus Pakistan (on leave). Currently, he is working as a Postdoc Fellow at Prince Sultan University, Riyadh KSA. Dr. Sadique Ahmad achieved his Ph.D. degree (2019) from the Department of Computer Sciences and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology China while a Master’s degree (2015) from the Department of Computer Sciences from IMSciences University Peshawar Pakistan. He has achieved 39 research articles in peer-review journals and conferences including top journals such as Information Sciences, Science China Information Sciences, Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience, Physica-A, and IEEE ACCESS. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence and more specifically deep learning, image processing, satellite image object recognition, remote sensing image analysis, and video action detection. He has reviewed over 180 scientific research articles for various well-known journals, including Information Sciences, IEEE Access Journal, Knowledge-Based Systems, Education and Information Technologies, Information Technology and Management, ICEEST Conference, and ICONIP Conference.

Session 4: 1:00-2:00

Title: Social cybersecurity with NLP

Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Wani, Post-Doc Researcher at EIAS Lab, PSU

He is currently working as a Researcher in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at Prince Sultan University, KSA. He has served as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (IIK) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. He pursued his postdoctoral research at the Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory, NTNU, Norway and He is the recipient of the Alain Bensoussan Fellowship award under the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM), Sophia Antipolis Cedex, France. He obtained his Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India in 2019 in Computer Science.  He holds a Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) and M.Phil. (Data Mining) from the University of Kashmir (UoK) in 2012 and 2014 respectively. His research focuses on the extraction and analysis of social data, and the application of different statistical, machine/deep learning, and NLP techniques in developing prediction models.

Session 5: 2: 00- 3:00

Dr. Gauhar Ali, Post-Doc Researcher at EIAS Lab, PSU

Title:   Web application security

He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Cybersecurity) from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He is currently working as a Post-Doctorate Researcher with EIAS Data Science and Blockchain Lab, College of Computer and Information Sciences, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Access Control, Blockchain, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Formal Verification, and Model Checking. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, at FATA University, Pakistan. Moreover, he worked as a researcher in a “Security Engineering Research Group (SERG)” at the Institute of Management Science, Pakistan and a Higher Education Commission (HEC) Funded project titled: “Provable Security of Blockchain Technologies” at the Department of Computer Science, University of Peshawar, Pakistan.

Session 6: 4:00 – 5:00

Dr. Sajid Shah, Post-Doc Researcher at EIAS Lab, PSU

Title: Python for ethical hacking

He is currently working as Post Doc researcher in EIAS data science and blockchain lab, CCIS, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He worked as an Assistant Professor in COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad campus. He did his PhD and MS from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. His areas of interest are machine learning, deep learning, data science, and bioinformatics.
